#M978 Navy Knife we have a WW2 Mark 2 fighting knife with a just under 7" blade, just under 12" overall length. The blade has been honed down some and there are some fine scratches from sharpening some pitting. Look at photos. This knife is illustrated on pg 117 of Best Cole book and the sheath on pg 119. Sheath is marked USN MK2 on the front of the throat and Nord - 6581 B.M. Co a line over 9 VP with grey body and OD belt loop.
