#M771 U.S. Government 1909 Cavalry Curb Bit. The bit types shown in Fig, 1, Page 64 of BRIDLE BITS OF THE AMERICAN MILITARY, 1776-1945, by McPheeters & Dorsey. This bridle bit measures exactly 6 ¾ inches in length and 5 ½ inches across stamped on the side (W.L.) and stamped (3) for the size and the off side boss is stamped (U.S.) this bit is Nickel and in excellent condition come with Curb Chain.
