#551 Colt 1877 Model 4 ½” barrel Lightning double action 38 Colt revolver AM EX Manufactured in 1903 in Hartford, Connecticut For American Express Company This is a silver gray gun with a little blue and case in protected areas gun is in excellent working condition marked on the top of the barrel in two lines “Colt’s PT. F. A. Mfg. Co. Hartford , Ct. U.S.A.” on the side of the barrel “COLT D.A. 38” on the left side of the frame are the Colt patents and the Rampant Horse in a circle on the back strap is Am. Exp. Co. 954 this gun is an all matching gun with all matching serial numbers some fire blue still left on the back of the hammer, the trigger with 2 piece hard rubber original grips. Serial #1457XX
