#1415 Springfield 1879-SRC, 141XXX range (1881), fine 45/70 bore

Description

#1415 Springfield 1879-SRC, 141XXX range (1881), fine 45/70 bore (about an 8 on a scale of 10), and appears totally correct for all features of this military trapdoor variation. Very nice smooth metal with a faint trace of thin blue on the barrel and lock plate and some liberal traces of casecolors still on the breechblock. The wood has a solid repaired line crack at the wrist, but does not appear to have completely cracked through the stock and does look to have been firmly repaired to where it can be shot (after a thorough safety check by a competent gunsmith, of course). There are no visible cartouches remaining. Overall, a nice looking carbine with a fine bore and tight action. $1550

Price: $1,550.00
