#SE246 Sharps Derringer Model 1C 22 Caliber
Description
#SE246 Sharps Model 1C 22 caliber rim fire pepper box. This is a four barrel 22 caliber pepper box with 2 ½” barrel length. It has the brass frame with a strong trace the silver plating remaining. The barrel was originally blue however, most of the finish is worn away. The hammer is case hardened and has the rotating firing pin. These were produced in great quantities from 1859 to 1874, with approximately 60,000 manufactured. This model has the fluted standing breech and round grip to the frame juncture. The varnish walnut grips are in excellent condition. This model was serial numbered from 1 to 26, 000, which places this manufacturing date for this gun around 1862. Serial 822X
