Description
#SE237 Smith & Wesson Model 1 third issue revolver. This is a 22 caliber rim fire, seven shot revolver with a 3 3/16” rounded ribbed barrel and a fluted cylinder. As was typical of this style of revolver, the barrel tips up to allow the cylinder to be removed for loading and unloading. A rammer pin located below the barrel is intended to facilitate the unloading at procedure. This gun was made circa 1868 to 1881with about 131,163 produced. The serial number would indicate that this gun was manufactured in 1874. This gun has a blue finish that shows some light wear. It has varnish rosewood grips of the birds head shape. Overall condition is fine to very fine and the gun functions in all respects. Serial 614XX
