S&W 1 1/2 old Army 32 cal
Description
This is a very early first model 2nd issue SA 32 cal 5 shot action is smooth and crisp. has plain cyclinder unfluted with cyclinder stops.
Finish is about 60 % thinning blue showing normal carry wear on reciever and back strap.Grips are rose wood and retain about 75%
original varnish.Bore is showing dull shine with black powder surface etch lands and grooves are about 70% remaining.
over all this wood grade for NRA antique Very Good or better
patent dates 1855 to 1859 seial # 15,xxx denotes Circa 1860 to 1862
possibly 1863 is civil war era for sure. A factory letter can be obtained
