#4841Colt Pocket Navy 3-1/2”x38CF, 311XXX (1873)

Description

#4841Colt Pocket Navy 3-1/2”x38CF, 311XXX (1873) made without an ejector and a “solid barrel” (not made with any loading lever arpeture). Desirable 38CF caliber which is easily available, although should use ONLY black powder pressures. Very good bore with the usual darkened grooves from black powder usage but strong lands and no serious pitting. Very good action, but should have a new (or stronger) cylinder stop spring if it is to be shot ..as well as a complete safety check by a competent gunsmith. The exterior retains about 40-50% of the original nickel with the remainder peeled and patinaed to a brownish
grey color; cylinder retains about 80% of the scene, markings are very good, as well. The walnut grips have
70% of the original varnish and no serious flaws with the exception of a toe chip on the left grip. Overall VG++ as described, $895
