#4968 Colt S/A 7-1/2”x45COLT, 102XXX(1884) and having a tight smooth action
Description
#4968 Colt S/A 7-1/2”x45COLT, 102XXX(1884) and having a tight smooth action and very good bore (about a 7 on a scale of 10) just showing moderate wear. The exterior is a smooth grey-brown patina with just some light freckle roughness on the frame and in other scattered places that hopefully can be seen in the photos. The walnut grips show very little wear and are slightly undersized at the straps and likely are replacements, but look in-character with the revolver as a whole. It does have the half-moon ejector head which appeared in this approximate serial range. Overall, a pretty decent example of this Western classic 1880s weapon, and while not having any finish, it still is a very collectible piece, and certainly the major investment Blue Chip in handguns of the late 1800s. There are a lot of pictures of this neat old Colt, so if they all do not load up, be sure to e-mail me and I’ll forward them along to you. About VG/VG+ $2750.
