#4857 Winchester 1895 “Flat-side” rifle, SN20XX(1896), 28”x30US (30/40)

Description

#4857 Winchester 1895 “Flat-side” rifle, SN20XX(1896), 28”x30US (30/40), round barrel, nice bore, tight action. Unfortunately, some backwoods gunsmith thought gripping the barrel with channel locks or vice grip pliers was a nifty way to hold the gun, so it now bears the scars of his lunacy. Standard open sights but also has had a receiver sight at one time because it has four “filler screws” on the left side of the frame. For some reason this has a very strong trigger pull ….instead of a usual 2-3 pound pull, this feels like a 10 pound pull! Otherwise, it is a good strong action rifle in an easily obtained caliber and a Winchester that is not often seen in an antique serial range and scarce flatside receiver. About VG as described. $1250

Price: $1,250.00
