Description
This listing if for a colt 1862 pocket police.The action is crisp and cyclinder is tight perfect indexing.The finish is mottled brown patina with traces of blue in protected areas. the bore has some black powder etch with pronounced rifeling. most of these were converted to rim fire or center fire this one is still in original state. the wood grips appear to have been sanded and revarnished shows no cracks or chips
all # match including wedge my over all opinion of this peice was a cowboy gun used on the range also served as a tool notice the fence
styrations on the barrel from stringing barbed wire and useing the gun to stretch it and pull the wire. well built sturdy peice that accuratly displays it history
the serial # denotes 29,xxx is civil war era.
