#4894 Colt 1860 Army, 8”x44cal, percussion, 104XXX serial range (1863), matching

Description

#4894 Colt 1860 Army, 8”x44cal, percussion, 104XXX serial range (1863), matching except wedge has no number. The exterior is overall grey-brown with scattered pitting ranging from freckled to medium pitting which is most likely due to poor storage in a leather holster for many years. Good traces of cylinder scene, VG markings, VG and tight action …but does have a dark and dirty bore. Rifling is easily seen, but it will need some time and elbow grease to make this a decent bore. VG grips with usual rim wear and chips to left side edges. Just a good representative and honest old Army that no doubt saw its share of the Civil War. There are lots of pictures of this neat old gun, so if they all do not load up, be sure to e-mail me and I’ll forward them along to you.
