#4832 Allen & Thurber medium sized pocket pepperbox, very early Grafton

Description

#4832 Allen & Thurber medium sized pocket pepperbox, very early Grafton production and so marked (dimly, but visible) on the side of the hammer. This is the Third Variation, made without nipple shield and with the early “dog-leg” grip. The metal is dark brown patina with minor overall light pitting and the frame engraving is also weak from being carried. The trigger is slightly sticky on the return but otherwise functioning good. These very early Grafton-marked pepperboxes are quite hard to find and most were just used up and tossed away once revolvers became popular and accessible. A scarce piece for Allen collectors. About G-VG $850

Price: $850.00
